There are three websites that offer loads of information on the area. They are: www.pymatuninglake.com, www.visitcrawford.com and www.VisitAshtabulaCounty.com. On these sites, you will find local information on the state park and all that Pymatuning Lake has to offer. There is also information on shopping, boating, swimming and local businesses. All three organizations publish periodicals which you may request from their websites.
Golfing: There are golf courses in Andover, Jamestown and Conneaut, just to name a few.
Restaurants: There is information in the cottage and also the Pymatuning Lake website. Our personal favorite is the Spillway Inn, which as the name indicates, is near the Spillway. If you feel like a little drive, there are a few good restaurants in Chagrin Falls, Ohio. It takes around an hour to get to Chagrin Falls, but it is worth the drive. It is a lovely little town.
Boating: We are almost directly across Route 322 from the Bay 41 boat launch. We are also not far from the boat rental.
Swimming: We are just minutes away from the Pennsylvania beach area. The house is also just minutes away from the Pymatuning Water Slides.
Food Shopping: Necessities are available right down the road at Richter’s. For more extensive food shopping, the closest grocery store is the Sparkle Market in Andover. They also sell wine and beer because they are located in Ohio.
Antiques and Crafts: The Andover drive-in theatre has a weekend flea market every weekend throughout the summer, weather permitting. They have a huge variety of things—even flowers and shrubs at great prices.
